Ice Hockey Youth Hockey Association Twin Valley Hockey Association, website www.twinvalleyhockey.org , has a youth hockey association whose home ice is the KUA rink. Several of the players are from the town of Plainfield. Adult Hockey Education Program Ever wanted to learn to play ice hockey but the local pickup group seems too fast for you? Maybe your frozen pond never gets as smooth as you would like? We have the solution! Twin Valley hockey will be hosting our 3rd annual Adult Hockey Education Program at the KUA ice rink this season. This program is designed for Never-Ever, Novice and Intermediate players - we focus on fundamental skills such as modern power-skating techniques, stick handling, passing and shooting. There will also be an occasional session with a professional power skating instructor from The Skater's Edge. We will balance skills instruction with team tactics and position play fundamentals (ever wondered just what a "break-out" is?) we will break it down for you in easy to understand terms. Each session will also have a scrimmage to allow you to use the skills you learn and to keep it fun! Flexible payment plans are available and registration includes membership in USA Hockey, the governing body for amatuer ice hockey in the United States. Trails -- Plainfield Trailblazers
-- A volunteer-based trail group will provide recreational, educational, health fitness, social and alternative transportation opportunities to Plainfield's residents on an organized trail system, which encompasses the diversity of landscape and land use in this rural community. Increase the sense of community and community interest by promoting the interaction of residents from all areas of Plainfield.
