Description: Join us for an engaging evening with award-winning poet Laura Foley, author of Sledding the Valley of the Shadow and Ice Cream for Lunch: A Grandparent’s Handbook. Laura’s work has been widely published and recognized with numerous awards, including the Narrative Magazine Poetry Prize and the Bisexual Book Award. Her poetry has been featured in The Writer’s Almanac and anthologies such as How to Love the World and Poetry of Presence.
Beyond her literary accomplishments, Laura has dedicated years to volunteer work through the No One Alone program at DHMC, trained as a chaplain in hospitals and prisons, and is a certified yoga instructor. She holds graduate degrees in Literature from Columbia University and resides with her wife on the Connecticut River’s steep banks in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.
