Automatic Enrollment
Most Plainfield residential customers who currently purchase their "default" electricity from Liberty Utilities and Eversource will automatically be enrolled in Plainfield Community Power at the end of your April billing period. NHCoop customers will not be automatically enrolled. Customers who have Net Metered solar systems or are now buying their electricity from third party suppliers will not automatically be enrolled. If you are on a non standard electricity plan with Liberty or Eversource you will not be automatically enrolled. Read this document for the conditions that may disqualify you from automatic enrollment.
Although you may not automatically be enrolled, you may elect to change your electric supplier to Plainfield Community Power. You must terminate your agreement with your current third party supplier, then enroll in Plainfield Community Power. Be certain that you understand any penalties or fees charged by your current supplier before you switch to PCP.
PCPs Default Electric Plan is Granite Plus, which delivers 33% renewable electricity. You may Opt-Up for more renewable content at slightly higher prices, or you may Opt-Down to a minimum RPS content of 23% rebewable electricity for a slightly lower price. You may do this during the enrollment period, or at any time, effective at the next billing period. See the PCP rate schedule for details.
Most customers will have to do nothing to be automatically enrolled in Plainfield Community Power. You will continue to receive one bill from Liberty or Eversource, and the only thing you'll notice is the cost of electricity has gone down! If you want to Opt-Out, Opt-Up or Opt Down, you can do this online or call the CPCNH enrollment center at 1-866-603-7697 (1-866-603-POWR). For those of you that are not automatically enrolled, you can switch your electric supplier and Opt-In to PCP online or call the CPCNH enrollment center. You can also email the enrollment center at [email protected]
